Another photo from today
Saturday
What is under your needle today?
I heard a rumour we may offer some workshops on a Saturday coming up. More info to come. I was ready to take photos today but this is some of the work tackled,

Saturday Sit and Sew.

Sorry I have been a bit slack in posting up dates.  Saturdays has welcomed new members and some visitors. Don't forget you can invite your friends along for a visit. If they like what they see they have an opportunity to join.
Kate is always busy. She brought along a quilt which is stunning. So stunning I can't show it as she is  going to enter it into a show and hence it can't bbe viewed before hand.
Both Kate and Robyn had worked on the same design. The had both worked on "Square Dance". It was interesting to put them side by side and see the difference colour choices make

Evelyn has made the great wall hanging using batik fabric. I know there was pressure to have it completed as it is a gift for her mother overseas.

Easter Quilt Show in Maldon 31st March to 1st April

A date for your diary!

Here in Central Victoria we are excitedly stitching and planning for our bi-annual Quilt Show.
We wish to extend our invitation for all to visit us during the Maldon Easter Fair when our small town showcases so much of what we love about living here.

Looking forward with anticipation to meeting and welcoming you.
Warmest regards,

Who is the most productive member at the moment?

Judy A. showed us how busy she has been with a great display of quilts all destined for family!

Note the great use of the same fabric range for the backing.

We have been invited to help with the Very Snuggly Quilt program.  Come along if you can!

Dear Sheila,

On behalf of Kilmore Quilters, I would like to invite Sunbury Stitchers and Quilters to join our Very Snuggly Quilt Making Day with Maire Lee.

Date:     Saturday 3rd March

Time:     from 9:30am onwards.

Venue: Kilmore Memorial Hall, Sydney Street, Kilmore.

There is no fee.  This is a day when we can help out by giving to those in need.  Very Snuggly Quilts provides quilts to those with a long term or terminal illness at the Royal Children’s Hospital.
This link will take you to the Victorian Quilters Website for further information about the VSQ program.

Marie Lee has everything well organised and everything is provided.  You can choose which task to do – hand or machine sewing, pressing, cutting, fusing, all tasks need willing hands.

What to bring?
-          Sewing machine (with foot pedal and power cordJ)
-          Bobbins with not much thread on them and any reels of thread you just want used up.
-          Lunch and Mug.

We look forward to seeing you on the day.

Warmest Regards,

Andrea Milne-Hall
