Quilt-In News

June 17, 2017 Quilt-In at Bulla Hall

Update June 5th  (From the minutes)

If you have fancy cake plates it would be great if we could loan them for use on the day in line with the theme. In line with the theme also some small vases to display flowers on the table and flowers too if you have any in your garden at the time.
If you have a Quilt that is in this theme -  flowers and shabby chic could we loan it for display on the day.
Also any vintage or unusual teapots
There will be a teacosy competition
Three shops will be represented – Patch n Quilt, Patchwork Unlimited and Hoops.
All people attending get a teacup and saucer pincushion.
There will be door prizes.
We need to consider ways to decorate the hall at Bulla
Items are being collected for the gift basket.
Name tags backings will be provided on the day, so make sure you bring your name tag.
Nice idea in line with the theme to wear pastel coloured tops
If you have a quilt to show on the day please bring it along.
Lists are available for baking and jobs to be done
The Quilters Companion magazine has agreed to give us a write up of the event.
Date 17th June, however set up will be 16th June, Deb will be at the hall most of the day and your help to set up would be gratefully accepted. I would urge everyone to get behind Deb and the Committee to ensure a successful day.
Rosters are available and will be emailed to you  so make sure you put your name down to assist in some small way.
All members of SSQ will be asked to mingle and mix on the day to ensure our guests feel welcome.

A list of ideas will be at the end of this email (or any idea that you may have) and I will be around at meetings and sit and sews with patterns to share (above knitted tea cup pattern available for knitters). If you are not at any meetings feel free to email me directly.  All, or any of your ideas are very welcome. The made items don’t have to be a high tea theme.
