Happy New Year Everyone

I thought I had better post a few photos from our

 last meeting of the year.

(Please let me know if I have wrongly attributed someone's work.  I can easily fix the post.)

Annie and Andrea have met the challenge of The New Hexagon Millefiore Quilt-Along - Katja's Quilt …  They look amazing!

.

Barb B's Emma Mary Quilt is another amazing achievement.  Love the colours. She has used her French General collection and still has more to use!

And once again Sheila continues her prodigious output!

Have you had close look at Ailsia's beautiful smocking.  It is so well done!

Oops   ... is this yours Judy A? A most interesting design.

And just in time for Christmas is Julie's table runner and Judy A's wall hanging!

Not sure who our beautiful model is.  She came in dancing around our tables and then disappeared.  Love the dress!

And Jocelyn has given us some guidance for the 2016 Elves Challenge where we must incorporate movement into our project----mmmmmmmm????

Look at all the happy faces and the beautiful stockings.

Lots of good ideas here!

They are all gorgeous!

Quilts and more quilts

Our regular Tuesday night meetings are a great way  to be inspired  by the work of our members.

Sheila is still busy

The top for our charity quilt is complete and looking fantastic!  It is ready for the next stage.

Despite all her work on the charity quilt, Carolyn has had time to work on this masterpiece-
check out the detail!

Heather P has created a beautiful centre for her Emma Mary Quilt.  It is going to be such fun seeing all the various iterations of the same quilt  displayed together. As discussed on Tuesday night - it is serendipity since it is hard to preplan the colours in this quilt.  They are all very different.

Vintage Quilts Presentation

At our November 17th meeting we were most fortunate to have Janette McInnes as guest speaker.  Her presentation covering her collection of vintage quilts from the 1840's to 1940's was extremely interesting.  I busily took lots of photographs but I needn't have bothered since her website describes her collection in great detail so hurry there and have look!
