I think I can relate to all of these, can you ???

We had an inspiring meeting this week with lots of laughs, chatter and stitching.  

Mary showed us the quilts she has made and collected for donations to the children’s hospital auxiliary, I will get an ongoing total for you, but she keeps on giving , Thank you Mary.

Rosie showed us her bird quilt which she is completing the binding at the moment beautiful work Rosie.

Hong brought along her Jacket she is embellishing with embroidery what a wonderful idea.

Judy also had a great idea for this hot weather,  it is a neck scarf filled with gel that you pu in the freezer and wear it to keep cool on hot days. 

 

WE ARE BACK !!!!

Weekly gatherings started again this week with our first meeting for the year, lots of catch to be had with our group members.

Rosie and Margret presented our first challenge for the year, a mystery block and Color challenge .  We had to choose a paper bag which had a picture of the block and a swatch of the colour to be used in the finished block.  Each participant only does one block then they put together and quilted .  The finished quilt will be displayed at the centre. We will show photos later when the quilt is finished.

Mary showed us a blanket she is crocheting for the Children’s Hospital. Thank you Mary love your dedication for donating to the hospital.

Caroline presented her Quilt which was made from a Jelly Roll she has had for a while, beautiful work just love a blue and white quilt.

Caroline also showed a Serviette holder she made from material she picked up at the destash night. 

 Janice made a IPad holder for her daughter , this is from the Tilda range.
