Some people love a challenge!

Letter Challenge

Our group has completed many challenges over the years so it was good to have a try at this one.  As you will see we have have some witty and clever quilters.  I will not try to remember the interpretations for the letter challenge based on our initials, except to say that Evelyn's was foundation pieced!

Thanks Annie and Andrea!

In almost every picture someone had their eyes closed!

Who has another challenge for us????

Soup and Quilting Blocks

Today Andrea and Annie treated us to a lunch of soup and rolls. Thank you both so much it made a lovely change to all sit together and enjoy a lunch. To add to the enjoyment we shared the blocks made for the Letter Challenge. Glo took some photos so look out for them. It was obvious that some thought went into the blocks. Di made a mini cushion which was a good use of the block. There was one (as there always is) where black was disguised as Ebony , the use of letters to show paper piecing was interesting as was the choice of words!!
elow are a selection of quilts on display today

Julie has been quietly working away to complete tasks. The Blue one is the Globetrotter quilt by Pat Sloan a BOM done  a few years ago. The Christmas Wallhanging is an example of the use of an Embroidery Machine.

Glo produced this lovely scrap quilt. She is known for collecting left over scraps and the result is stunning. People were fascinated to look for their contribution to the quilt.

There are a least 20 small quilts in this group and have all been made by Evelyn. She is donating them a;; to the Maternity Det at Sunshine Hospital as Memory Quilts. Well done
