Bronwyn's Gold Class Adventure

I attended the recent AQC as a gold delegate, which means I attended all 4 days doing classes. As a gold delegate I also was able to attend the Wednesday evening cocktail party where we meet the tutors and other delegates, Thursday and Friday evening lectures by tutors and Saturday evenings gala dinner, the highlight of the event. Plus we get access to the show on Thursday and Friday early to have a look at the vendors and the quilts before the show opens and before class. This year on Thursday morning was an extra if you wanted to take a look behind the scenes to see how it all comes together and also this year as a special treat if you wanted breakfast on Friday morning and a look at the new handing quilter.  This year I took two classes with Laura Wasalowski,  she is funny and informative, the 1st two pictures are what I did, still unfinished as you can see. The next picture if the workshop with Ro Bruhn, so totally different to what I have done, we made stamps and then printed on fabric, the other pics are her class and the last class I took was with Cathy Jack Coupland which was thread painted leaves, let's just say that has a long way to go before being finished.
The Dinner on Saturday night is very entertaining, this year's entertainment was "Robbie Williams", and "Pavarotti" and "elvis" also made appearances. Bernina give away a sewing machine to one lucky person and the awards are given out. It really is a wonderful evening.
Bronwyn.
