Another wonderful Show and Tell

Barb B. didn't have her new candlewicking quilt ready for this quilt show but watch out next time!  it is a magnificent effort.  Look closely at the detail.

There is no stopping Sheila.  Here are her latest wonderful efforts.  The red and white stitchery would have been great for the 50 shades of red challenge.

And finally but most importantly, Sheila's friend has made these beautiful little baby hats and booties to donate to the Sunshine Hospital for the littlest babies who do not survive at birth.

Cheque Given to CFA Representatives

We were delighted to have two representatives from the local CFA come along to accept a cheque for the proceeds of our raffles at the Quilt Show.  We were able to raise $ 2397.90, a mighty effort!

They have a project in mind to spend our donation - universal adaptors for their various hoses.

Viewers Choice at our Quilt Show

Our visitors are given the opportunity to vote on their favourite quilt after they have seen the exhibition.  Maureen's amazing quilt caught the eyes of many and she was awarded this coveted prize which includes a trophy which she can display at home for two years!  The trophy is named in honour of our esteemed member, Marlene Adami who died of cancer several years ago.  Maureen is the second recipient with Esmae Mazzei being the first winner in 2014.

Maureen made the quilt for her granddaughter Chloe who proudly let me photograph her with her grandmother in front of the winning quilt.  Lucky Chloe!
