Back on Deck!

The rain stopped and the wind subsided so I bravely took myself off to my first meeting after a long break.  It was great to see everyone again and to catch up on some of the projects being worked on.

Ailsa has done an amazing joy on her hexagon quilt top using reproduction fabrics.

I wonder how she will quilt it?

Ailsa also starred with her little dress with the beautiful smocking.

Barb shared a photo of her patchwork of the crosses completed quilt.  We need to see it at a show and tell!

Kay was having problems with a pesky fly that was determined to interrupt her quilting but she had an ingenious solution to her problem.

September Show and Tell

What is with this weather! Good quilting weather but enough, I am longing to get outside.
A few brave souls braved the weather tonight, we had show and tell and yes I am writing this post and I had some show and tell. I am just a little bit proud of these two quilts and I did want to show them off before they got folded up and put in the cupboard.

Judy Van Dyck made the baby quilt from a Zoe Clifton kit.

The Yellow Peril was made using a quilt as you go method. The blocks were candlewicking blocks I had made in a previous fad but got fed up after 12 blocks.

The pink quilt is a BOM by Esther Aliu called Diamond Hill. I quilted this myself using free motion quilting. Janine Lord gave me the confidence and the skills to complete the task.
