Ann McWaters has kindly donated a SIZZIX cutting tool to the club. This will be kept in the cupboard at St Mary's so if at any time you wish to borrow please ask someone.
A Sizzix machine is a cutting tool and comes with a number of dies. The frabric is put in the machine the die attached and the handle turned. If you are making baby quilts there were a number available to use to cut applique shapes. It is especially useful if you wish to cut a number of layers at one time.
Thank you very much Ann for your generosity
Not sure if this link will work but please look it up if unsure.
We saw the twins hold a lovely quilt which Di had made in a relatively short time. It shows her love of bayik fabric and the ease in which she quilts. Only a few short weeks ago it was in pieces and now. ..... Di is the twin on the left.......... lol. Both have the same love of a certain shop too!
We also welcomed Chris to join us who brought along some cushions she had made with fabric specific to New Zealand.

Birthday Celebrations x two
It was a lovely meeting on Tuesday night when we were able to celebrate with double fun and congratulate Barb and Judy V on their big '0' birthdays. They are both long term members of our club and deserving of special attention!
What quilts will we see made from these fabrics?

Other members had some treats for us to view-
Judy A. shared her baby quilt made with triangles and another completed star quilt with great quilting designs.
Grace made good use of her embroidery machine to produce a lovely baby quilt.
Our newest 'possible' member, Barbara shared her Peacemaker quilt which took a vvvvvvvvery long time to finish.
