Show and tell over the past few weeks

We have been quite quiet on the show and tell front. Maybe we are not so active over the colder months. There has been such a lot of illness what with COVID and FLU. So ladies back with the masks and up the Vitamin C. Stay well everyone and keep warm we have had quite a cold spell.

Diane has been working on some embroidery which she is going to frame.

Rosie has made a Japanese inspired quilt which she said was fun to make.

Fiona brought along one of her first quilts . The centre was hand quilted.

Margaret made this quilt from orphan blocks, Each block tells a story, The pattern is called 'Walking with Ephalumps" by Rae Telfer. The colours were vibrant.

Saturday Workaholics

Our ladies which attend on a Saturday are very industrious. This is some of their work taken over the last few Saturdays.

Ladies who regularly attending Saturdays very rarely get along to Tuesday to celebrate birthdays.  So, we decided to pull out all the stops to celebrate Kates Big 0.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATE!

We love you heaps 😊

Kate has been busy making ¾” hexies for the magnificent Oakhampton Quilt.

Gail is working on another Harry Potter quilt from leftovers – what a bonus, two quilts for the price of one!

Judy is working on a simple traditional bow quilt.

Anne brought a miniature version of a quilt that Debbie is currently making - the ‘Windy Day Magic Circle’ quilt.  Anne was busy cross-stitching a beautiful Dear Jane look-a-like.  Andrea enjoyed a relaxed afternoon knitting.  Karen continued working on her stunning circles – a pattern by Marg Sampson-George called ‘Tile Tripping’.

Painstaking work but Kates quilt is taking shape…

One guess who is creating a miniature beauty with all these tiny teeny pieces…Yes, it’s Anne’s work.

What a wonderful feeling when a quilt top is done – and it’s Harry Potter themed.  Looks terrific Gail.

Debbie has once again been incredibly generous in donating beautiful baby quilts for Sunshine Hospital:

A beautiful ‘view through the window’ miniature created by Anne.

Anne has completed her mini version of Laundry Baskets Mystery Quilt 2022

I’m sure you will be tempted to check it out at BLOG | Laundry Basket Quilts
