Vintage Quilts Presentation

At our November 17th meeting we were most fortunate to have Janette McInnes as guest speaker.  Her presentation covering her collection of vintage quilts from the 1840's to 1940's was extremely interesting.  I busily took lots of photographs but I needn't have bothered since her website describes her collection in great detail so hurry there and have look!

Goldfields Quilt In

I was very lucky to spend the day at Campbell's Creek with the Goldfields Quilters.  It is a very friendly and welcoming group.  The guest speaker was Olga Walters, an Art Quilter.  Her work was fascinating and it was so interesting to hear about some of her creative techniques.  The free motion quilting in her collages is amazing.  Cheers Glo x
This is her Alice in Wonderland Quilt and the smaller pictures are some of the detail.

The following photos show some of her other works

More Posts are Planned

We are hoping to keep our site up to date with interesting notes and information so keep coming back!  Our group is very busy at the moment with so much organised by our Workshop committee headed by Evelyn.

There are a few places left on the bus trip on October 17th so make sure you have your name down, paid your monies and have given your lunch order.

Our recent workshop with Judy Newman has many of us busily sewing on Tuesday nights. Check out these creations.
