What we got up to last saturday!

It is a very different Saturday this week as we (most of us) hold our breath waiting to see how the football unfolds.   The following photos will refresh your memory of the fun we had and the delicious food we experienced!
Thanks to Evelyn and Deb for their organisation.  It all ran very smoothly.  Special thanks to Sue's husband Mike who once again delivered us there and home again with little fuss and bother!

We Can Contribute to Fellow Sewers in Cambodia

On behalf of Judy Van Dyck.

Her husband is a member of Sunbury Rotary. They are sending a container of goods to disadvantaged groups in Cambodia. The request is for any of your unused or no longer required items involved with sewing.

This can include fabric, scissors, pins, needles, threads, unpickers -  the list is limitless. If you have any items please bring them along on a Tuesday to give to Judy.

All items gratefully accepted.

A great reason to have a clear out and clean up.  I couldn't believe how many pairs of scissors I had!!

Christmas in July 2016

Our annual celebration was a lovely day of sharing and enjoying each others' company.  The two elves, Janice and Jocelyn were delighted with the variety of projects completed for the challenge.  Everyone was rewarded for their efforts, even those who forgot to bring their work on the day! We had to use the provided black tone on tone fabric and feature it prominently while also demonstrating movement. Check out our efforts below.





In the afternoon Maureen D. was presented with her well deserved trophy from the Quilt Show where she won the Viewer's Choice award.   Her name now sits proudly with Esmae's.  Maureen will keep the trophy for 2 years.

Janice provided us with a very cute project to hand sew- a little felt bird badge.

It was quick, easy and fun!
