Last night we had a few quilts for show and tell. Annie has pieced this Just Takes 2 quilt. You use a variety of techniques to make up this mystery sampler quilt and the website tells you all about the history behind it too.
Di started this floral quilt at the retreat last year. Di loved the fabric and drafted the pattern for this quilt herself.
I kind of made the next quilt. It's from my Chinese Whispers challenge where my clue was "Crazy scrappy makes me happy" I'm so pleased with how it came together even though my own block ended up on the back as the label because it doesn't fit with any of the other blocks that work so well together! I tied the quilt with beads.
After show and tell I went around the table and took snapshots of what everyone was working on.
Here's Beryl hand stitching her Shirt Challenge quilt.
Esmae is appliquéing a William Morris block.
Barbara is knitting a lacy padded coat hanger.
Kylie is embroidering one of her own designs.
Lyn is hand quilting her clam shell quilt.
Annie is making a little quilt. Here's her house block.
Di is embroidering a flower scene which will be framed for the wall.
Karen is cross stitching this cute design to go on a baby towel. It's for her friend who recently become a Grandma.
Carolyn is going to make this stitchery into a bag.
Andrea is helping Carolyn finish pincushions for the Quilt In.
Julie is working on her Elf Challenge tablerunner.
Ailsa is embroidering "The Edwardian House". A design by Robyn Allen-Waters.
Heather is stitching hexagons together. The feature fabric is the cutest red bird fabric which you can view here
And finally, Judy is knitting a teddy bear for a new baby.
