Another lockdown. Another pile of quilts! Send me pictures of your quilts if you’d like them to appear on the blog.
Recently, a family in Sunbury lost their home in a fire so I decided they needed quilts. There’s a quilt for Mum, three teenagers and a little lad. I hope they like them!
Judy A and Barbara B made this quilt using fabrics donated at our club and extras from Judy’s stash. It was quilted by Judy.
The three HST quilts are for the teenagers. I pieced them with bargain fabric from Amitié Textiles, Torquay that I bought on one of our bus trips years ago.
I made the robot quilt a while ago because he was very cute and put the quilt aside for a special person. The young lad seems like the perfect new quilt snuggler. I probably spent more time piecing the backing than I did the top.
Kay has been busy too making gifts for friends and family. Her photo shoot is much more exciting than mine!
This dinosaur quilt is for Kay’s partner’s grandson for his 3rd birthday.
The magpie quilt is for Kay’s brother, a keen Collingwood supporter, for his 70th birthday.
This quilt is mostly made up using 2 inch squares. It’s for Kay’s sister in law for her 70th birthday.
Kay said she’s done all the July birthday quilts and is now getting started on the September big 0 birthdays. She’s going to be very busy!
