Like all crafters she can't just do nothing so she has used the Inktense Pencils to colour in these flowers. They are part of a free series by Helen Godden called Flower Power.
This last is the Bear Paw pattern which has managed to piece.
Yes I did download all Helen Godden's images and have started painting them. So far not very successfully. The plan is to free motion quilt them.
However I have completed the stitchery. This is called Spectators and sums up how I feel at the moment a spectator watching what is going on in the world. It was purchased at the Elephant Patch in Ballarat on the bus trip.. I was rather put off completing it when people who shall remain nameless but were on that bus trip and are very naughty, said it looked as if the Spectators were all peeing against a wall. How was I then to start this marathon stitchery!
I am not sure if I can put it up on a wall as all I will see is people peeing. Mind you it brings a smile. I have strayed away from the original quite a bit and the figures represent people from my family. Each figure has a different hairstyles and clothes. The stitchery is very long so it does pose a challenge as to how to hang it, it is 135cm long.
As we speak Ron has gone to Bunnings to build a frame
Dont forget ladies that this week end is another Craft Alive event online featuring many businesses who have special offers and workshops. Yes all online!
